BEST Academia

BEST-Academia is a webbased training platform to teach endoscopists how and in whom to perform safe and justified endoscopic treatment in patients with Barrett’s oesophagus. It provides information on how to interpret endoscopic images, how to use a variety of endoscopic treatment modalities, and how to perform optimal post-treatment surveillance.  BEST-academia also contains training materials for pathologists to assist them in improving their histopathological evaluation of biopsies and resection specimens. The Program Committee, consisting of international experts in this field, is responsible for the contents of BEST Academia. The use of the contents of the BEST-Academia is free for use by all health care professionals. We would appreciate it if you acknowledge BEST-academia if you use materials from BEST-Academia in presentations or publications.
BEST-academia has also developed a range of specific training modules that are available or will come available in 2016-2017. These modules focus on the endoscopic detection of early Barrett’s neoplasia using a variety of different endoscopic techniques and on the histopathological assessment of Barrett’s neoplasia. These training modules have been developed by Meducati (www.meducati.com) and the program committee of BEST-academia.
