Imaging

Optimal selection of patients for endoscopic treatment is imperative for treatment success.

Imaging

Early Barrett’s neoplasia is often difficult to detect endoscopically, and only cancers limited to the mucosa or the shallowest one-third of the submucosa are suitable for endoscopic therapy. In “Endoscopic work-up” key principles of whom to select for endoscopic treatment, and how to detect relevant lesions in the gastrointestinal tract, are discussed.

BORN project

Shortly, a unique interactive teaching tool will be made available on the website to improve recognition of Barrett’s oesophagus related neoplasia. “The BORN project” consists of a teaching module which includes 100 high-quality videos of Barrett’s oesophagus with and without neoplasia. With the teaching module endoscopists can train recognition and delineation of lesions.

VIDEO’S OF Imaging

The imaging video will illustrate how imaging should be used during endoscopic work-up to detect neoplasia.
