Radiofrequency ablation, also known as RFA, is proven to be highly effective and safe for the eradication of Barrett’s epithelium in the esophagus. During multiple treatment sessions, using circumferential and focal devices, abnormal epithelium is ablated to achieve complete regeneration with normal epithelium. RFA is recommended in combination with endoscopic resection for visible non-flat lesions in a Barret’s esophagus. The presentations and videos on this page will explain and illustrate the characteristics of this treatment.
