Over the last years, new treatment modalities have been developed to optimize the endoscopic therapy for patients with Barrett’s related neoplasia. Cryoablation is a modality that uses the formation of ice crystals to stimulate cell death and ablate dysplastic tissue. It is used across various medical specialities for different indications, and recently also for ablation of Barrett’s neoplasia.
